[Locked] confused

Ok, so I just moved my Aperature files to Lightroom Classic and now am trying to add my latest photos to a folder. It is not a simple app to use. I cannot simply import photos into a folder from my Desktop like Aperture, and the tutorials Ive found are confusing and useless. Is there a simple way to create a new folder and add my newest photos to it?
