Losing collections and presets with update

I've tried updating lightroom to the latest version (version 11.3) and when I do so, I lose almost all of my collections and all of my presets. Can anyone help me?

Did you import the photos into Lightroom Classic 11.3? That would indeed cause you to lose collections.

If not, please explain exactly how you did the update. We need detailed, step-by-step explanation of what you did, leaving nothing out. Also please tell us what version of Lightroom Classic you had before the update.

My history shows I've had lightroom v11, 11.2, 11.3. I just updated it after a window came up saying I need to update. However, I wonder if losing the collections is to do with my computer being low on disk space, because it was low on disk space before I updated.

You didn't state whether or not you imported the photos into the catalog after the update.

Is it possible you accidentally opened the wrong catalog file? In Lightroom Classic, select File->Open Recent and select each catalog shown there. Do you find one with your photos and collections?
