Lost Develop Settings for Olympus OM-D EM-5 RAW Files in Lightroom Classic (v14.4)

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with my Lightroom Classic (version 14.4) catalog and was hoping someone might be able to help or has experienced something similar.

My catalog contains photos from several cameras. In the past, I processed some RAW files from my Olympus OM-D EM-5 using the Develop module. However, when I revisited those images yesterday in the Library module, they appeared completely flat—like unedited RAW files. All previous Develop settings, including the selected profile, seem to be missing.

For context, the RAW files are stored on a network drive (NAS). I’m wondering if this might be part of the problem.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is there a way to recover or restore the lost Develop settings?

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!

NAS is definitely not the problem (unless you are getting error messages).

When it appears develop settings have been lost, the most likely causes are that you have (accidentally?) imported the same file twice but only one has edits, and you are now looking at the file that was not edited; OR you have two different catalogs (possibly without realizing it, yes that happens).

You need to find these photos in Lightroom Classic. Please follow all four of these steps in the Lightroom Classic Library Module, in order.

1. Click on All Photographs (its on the left under Catalog)
2. Turn off all filters (Ctrl-L once or twice)
3. Expand All Stacks (Photo->Stacking->Expand All Stacks)
4. In the Filter Bar, search for a photo by File name

and report what is found. If that doesn't work, please look for other catalogs that might have edits for this photo (here is an example of this happening to someone https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/all-my-lrc-edits-seem-to-have-disappeared/td-p/15357206)
