Lost/missing photos in Classic

So I had a 10 year old Mac and it was struggling to do stuff, battery went and went into lightroom classic to find 3500 photos greyed out. I thought when I transferred over to my new MacBook Air they might reappear but no such luck!

so I have tried 'find missing photos' and that didn't work so I have no idea how to fix this, please help!

Greyed out in what view? If this happens in the Import dialkg box, it means that you have previously imported the photos. They are not missing, you can find them in your LrC catalog somewhere

 

If that's not it, we need a much more clear and specific explanation of what you did and what you are seeing. Screen captures would be very helpful.

Could you provide a bit more information about the issue? Which version of Lightroom Classic are you using on each computer? Also, where are your images stored?
