Lost my edits saved with Catalog

Windows 10 - Lightroom Classic 11.4.1

Yesterday everything looked just fine. Today I noticed that some of my files lost edits that I had recently made. First noticed when it was obivous that the lens corrections were not longer being applied. Upon further examination I noticed that other edits other than within the Basic module were also lost. Even a few images that had been converted to black & white were now color.

I just can't imagine what it is that I did for this to happen. I back up my catalog once a week, yesterday being the latest. I can't find any way to get back the catalog prior to yesterday. Is there a way to roll back to the previous backup?

I can't imaging the amount of time that I have potentially lost due to this issue. Have not had any problems or issues in the past.

Of course there is, otherwise making backup would be a useless exercise! All you need to do is unzip the backup copy, and then replace your current catalog file(s) with the backup file(s).

Are you sure that the correct catalog was opened?

Thanks, all set.

Too bad that when I tried to find that in the help section, I couldn't come up with anything. I figured it had to be something relatively easy otherwise as you stated, making a backup would be useless.

FYI.  The Lightroom Queen (aka Victoria Bampton) has a blog on the topic- Restoring a Backup Catalog. In this link-
