Lost photos

and five albums april-may 2021 are gone. 

Well, completely missed that bit.

Albums is a term used in Lightroom Desktop, not Lightroom Classic. so I have to ask:

lease post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs.

Having problems with LrC. All pics from 2020 and five albums april-may 2021 are gone. I see them in LrC but can not edit och delete them. LrC catalogue system is very complicated, The pics are on my extern disk but LrC does not find them. Why this? What to do?

Lightroom Classic is not a file browser like Windows Explorer or Mac Finder. It doesn't know and doesn't care about what you see on your disk; Lightroom Classic is a database and it only knows about what information is in its database. If photos or folders are moved or renamed or deleted outside of Lightroom Classic, then Lightroom Classic does not know about this, and that is why you are currently experiencing this problem.
