Lost processing

On multiple occasions I'll look back on images in library that I have previously processed in LR. The images have returned to the state they were at prior to any processing.  Develop module indicates no processing has been done.  Tends to occur after upgrades.  I am only using one catalogue so I don't think the image processing is in another LR catalogue.  Any ideas?  Thanks.  I am using the classic LR version.

As I can see you know, the statement that you are in the wrong catalog is going to come up.

And even though you have only the one catalog, it sure sounds like you do.

You can alter in the preferences how Lightroom starts so that you will get promoted to select a catalog from a list (in your case, this will probably come up with one, but why not give this a try)

in the following link link scroll down to “Change the default catalog” you want to be prompted

How to create and manage catalogs in Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC

Incidentaly, this will also allow you to check your catalog integrity at startup instead of at closure/backup. And it can allow you to create a new catalog at startup instead of after opening a catalog (Should you ever need to do so, for say, diognisting if you have a corrupt catalog)
