Lost raw files + smart previews

Question

Hi there.

I lost my original raw files and lrdata smart previews for a wedding shoot.

All I have left is the lrcat file Lightroom catalog. Is it possible to somehow generate the smart previews from the catalog itself ?

I am running it on MacBook prof

As you can see from @john beardsworth 's message, you can get previews, but these will be lower resolution images than the originals, and possibly unsuitable (too low resolution) for printing and for displaying in a wedding album.

Do you not have backups of the raw files? Are they still on the camera card?
