lost tags in keyword list

I am hoping you can help me. I bought a new laptop computer and was trying to sync my photos so that I could see them on my laptop as well as my desktop. All my photos were tagged with keywords which have now disappeared. SO whilst the keywords are in a list, the number of photos in each list is zero. Is there anyway to get the tags back onto the photos?

You probably did not 'sync' correctly (because there is no sync for this). This link explains how to correctly move Lightroom to a new computer: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/how-move-lightroom-to-new-computer/

thanks, I will try and sync again but can i get my keywords back? I had 36000 tagged photos 😞

maybe sync was the wrong word, I just thought I would be able to see the photos on both computers
