Lousy tech support for Lightroom Classic (MTS file problem)
Hi
I recently posted about Lightroom not correctly reading the Capture time of my MTS files. Even though Photoshop, Bridge and Premiere all correctly read the correct capture time Lightroom does not. It effects how I can filter looking at certain files based upon their capture time. I contacted Adobe tech support via chat and that was a complete waste of time. They're clearly reading from some kind of response guide and don't really have a knowledge of the application. The senior tech person actually suggested going into the hundreds of files that are being incorrectly read and manually redo all of those files. Which I thought was a pretty dumb solution to their problem. I was then told that my issue would be passed on to someone even more senior than the person I was chatting with and I'd hear back in a few days. Two weeks later I received an email asking if I was sure that the capture time was being correctly read outside of Lightroom (which I had already explained to them) and to check which files it happened to (which I had also already explained to them was the MTS files). Of course this only comes after denying that there isn't a bug with Lightroom even though all the other ADOBE CC apps are correctly reading the files and LR is not.
I guess my question is how can adobe just increase my annual subscription fee 30% and have this pretty lousy tech support clearly being provided by someone reading through a database of responses somewhere in another country.
