Lower CPU usage when exporting

CPU usage of 100% makes it impossible to do other taskes while lightroom is exporting my files.

I do get that this makes the export faster but while exporting a lot of files I have to waste time to do nothing (in front of the computer) because everything else is not working properly.
Please lower the cpu usage or add a feature to where useres can choose how fast they want their export.
I rather have a slower export and can work on other things while exporting...

thanks

Usually, LR uses about 85 - 90% of total CPU for intensive operations like exporting, leaving enough CPU for interactive use. But there has been a relatively small but steady stream of reports over the years of LR using 100% CPU.  The reports have slackened in the past year or so, I think, because LR often will use the GPU to take much of the load off the CPU.

First troubleshooting steps:

1. Update to the latest driver for your graphics card by going directly to the manufacturer's web site:

https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/troubleshoot-gpu.html#solution-4

2. Set Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor to Custom, and make sure Use GPU For Export is checked.

3. If steps 1 and 2 don't help, or you don't see Use GPU For Export, then please do the LR menu command Help > System Info and copy/paste the entire contents here so we can see exactly which versions of hardware and software LR thinks you're running.
