LR 12.0.1 problem with synchronize a folder

I am now running into a problem with importing or sychronizing folders on my PC that have exported images in them. Even if I uncheck the "Do not import duplicates", they still won't import. How can I simply allow LR to import jpg images, regardless if they were exported from LR originally? This used to work, but since 12.0.1 it is broken. Below is a screens shot of the folder in question, even though it does have two pix in it, it imports nothing.

I'd love to help you figure this out. There are two ways you can approach this.

You can enable 'Add to this catalog' at the time of export. This will loop the exported images back into the Lightroom Catalog.

For the import & synchronize workflow, please share screenshots of the entire screen of the Import window & Synchronize pop-up. Where are you importing from, an internal drive or an external drive?

Let me know how it goes from here,

Thanks!

This and the other two errors that I reported this week were all caused by a corrupted preferences file. Someone else on this forum showed me how to rebuild the preferences, and now these features are working correctly. Of course, I now have to redo all of my custom prerences all over. I wish that updates to LR would not cause more errors than they fix.
