LR 12.1 new People masking feature on MAC OSX12.6.3 Only works in "safe mode"

I have looked at the discussion on this topic where in the Lightroom Classic v12.1 it is impossible to use the new People masking feature any more due to a Graphics card problem. Note that it worked previously. On my computer it continues to operate correctly in the MacBook Pro "safe mode" (nobody mentioned this !).
As proposed in the normal operating mode, I reinstalled the previous version v12.0.1 and it works again as previously.

Adobe seems to have solved some problems with v12.1 but created others.

It was also proposed to update to OSX 13, BUT Adobe says DO NOT DO this as there are major issues with Photoshop if you upgrade !

I hope you can produce an update v12.1.1 which solves this persons issue.

It may have worked previously, but more and more new functionality and code move to the GPU in each new release. So what used to work is kind of moot unless you revert and use the older version, or update (fix) the GPU with the newer ones. 

Now what do you mean you can get this to work in Safe mode (that's how you booted)? If so, there is some conflict with the current version and GPU that doesn't happen in Safe Mode, you have to find out what that is and disable it. 

So here's the tough part. The hard part is figuring out what that is. The first task is to disable all auto log-in items in Users and Groups>Login Items in your System preferences (System Settings in Ventura). You can make a screen capture or jot down what each item is, disable, restart and try again. If it doesn't crash, you can add one or more items, restart and try again. At some point, you may find which item is at issue. It isn't easy but that's really the fix unless you do a clean install of the OS which might be more work. 
The bottom line is that something in your user account is conflicting with LR. Gotta find out what that item is.
