Lr 6.10.1 crashes when I try to open it on my MacBook Pro.

Lr 6.10.1 crashes when I try to open it with my MacBook Pro. I presume it's not compatible with Sonoma 14.1 which I upgraded to a few days ago. If I have to upgrade to the most recent version of Lr but how do I do it when Lr crashes within seconds of being opened?
