LR 6 and Win 11

I just bought a new laptop (Acer Nitro 5) with Win 11 on it and I'm trying to install my licensed copy of LR 6.  It installed but when I go to start it I get the opening window then it goes away. Any ideas? Not gatting any error messages.

First try resetting your Preferences file- (I think the method applies to v6 - so long ago!)

PREFERENCES RESET

Face Recognition (if activated) has been shown to crash Lr6 before it starts.

Maps have ceased.

Cloud syncing has ceased.

And the most stable upgrade for v6 was v6.14, available for a short time here- Lightroom 6 End of Support 

 

A subscription to the Photography Plan (20GB) would be a great and compatible match for your new Windows-11 machine.

Thanks - that didn't make any difference and I'm not in a financial position (retired limited pension) to consider any additional monthly expenses. I'm going to unistall it and then start over making certain that LR4 which is not an upgrade is installed (5 and 6 were upgrades).
