LR automatically repeats making the same folder

LR 12.1 repeatedly creates the same folder again and again. A folder I used in the past. In whatever way I delete the folder it keeps returning. Inside the folder I find the file 'info.lua' with content 'info = { name = "iPad",}'. But the connection with my iPad is dubious as even with my iPad fully shut down the folder appears again after deletion.

You have probably defined that folder as the destination for synced images in Preferences - Lightroom Sync. That is why Lightroom recreates it if you delete it.
