LR capture problem

my LR CC is up to date and was working fine before, now when i connect my canon 5D3 the eos software recognises the camera an i open tethered capture as normal in LR. the drag box at the bottom keeps recognising the camera then not, the it does then it doesn't changed the cables and no change..... what is going on?

Please reset the Lightroom preferences back to default and check if that helps, refer: Preference file and other file locations | Lightroom CC and 6
