Lr cc 2015.9 can't add film strip photo to quick collection - also fim strip not show adjustments

How can add a photo in the film strip to the quick collection. Photos that are in the quick selection do not show the dark circle in the filmstrip. In the previous version there was a feint circle in the top right corner of all the photo which I could click onto to add to the quick selection. Also the film strip used to show that adjustments had been done to a photos that are in the quick selection. These adjustments were shown on the bottom right hand corner of photo.
