LR CC Update problem

Hi, I updated and developed a couple of problems which the forum helped me with.

Now I am sat with an image (any image) in the window pane and as I move the mouse or trackpad across the image the cursor changes from magnify to arrow by itself.

I cannot select magnify in the centre of the image in fact it is like a no go area in the centre if I select the adjustment tool it will only work at the edges not the centre. HELP!
