Question

LR Clasic 9.1 Installation Hang

On a current Windows 10 machine, via Creative Cloud Photo subscription, the LR Classic update from 9.0 to 9.1 hangs with out any error messages.  I can't find a download log and can find no errors in either PDApp.log or Install.log.  Photoshop and Camera Raw both downloaded fine on the same machine at roughly the same time.  Other machines on the network have no trouble getting to the internet (or downloading 9.1).

HELP!!

I'll recommend a clean reinstallation on the appropriate machine.

From my past experiences with problems I can suggest the following steps:

1) Save your catalog to a secure location.

2) Use the CC Desktop App to deinstall  Lightroom (and Photoshop)

3) Download and run the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to remove all Adobe 'stuff'.

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

4) Open the CC Desktop App and install the latest version of Lightroom (& Photoshop)

5) Restore your catalog.

All this sounds drastic and it does take time and effort, but a clean installation can fix many problems.

My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 25H2 -- LR-Classic 15 - Photoshop 27 - Nik Collection 9 - PureRAW 6 - Topaz Photo AI

Thanks! I was hoping for a little more scalpel and a little less
bludgeon. But I may well end up here.
