LR Classic 13.5.1 Page Setup doesn't show printers

Lightroom Classic 13.5.1

Mac book pro, M3. MacOS Sequoia 15.0.1.

In the print module, the "Page Setup" dialog doesn't show my printers anymore, only the generic option "Any Printer".  Will attach screen shot.

The "Printer..."  dialog correctly shows my available printers. Will add second screen shot.

Net effect is I can't set page size. It is stuck on Letter. If I use Letter sized paper, everything else, print wise, seems to work fine. As I say, the "Printer..." dialog functions as needed and prints look good.

No issues printing, or selecting page size through PS. Or Safari. Didn't try anything else.

Just noticed this today so unclear when it started. I have also seen this version of LR crash multiple times, I believe only when I was in the print module. Suspect it is related.

Tried the usual suspects -- uninstalled/reinstalled LR. Same version, then older versions. Removed/Re-added printer (although issue is not specific to one printer). Rebooted.

Seems like a bug, but asking as a question in case any one suspects it is something on my side.

Many thanks.

Any updates to this case? I am struggling with the same problem, and it is bothering me a lot. Has anyone talked to Adobe support, if this might be a quick fix for them like after the talk with @roccov65928327 .

Lightroom classic does not show my printers in the dialog box. This has been going on for 2 months now. MAC Support says it is not there issue since the print dialog works with every other adobe product. This did happen once before with lightroom classic and adobe support had no idea about the bug until talking to me for 2 hours trying to trouble shoot.

I am still having the same issue. I was on the phone with Mac for 1.5 hours and since it works with every other adobe product except lightroom, MAC says its an adobe issue. This happened to me once before with lightroom. Adobe support had no idea about the bug until after 2 hours of screen sharing and a phone call. The behind the scene guys magically found what it was and released an update weeks later. I would say this is the same bug as last time, however it just carried over to Sequoia.

Lightroom Classic 14 was released today, and might be available in your Creative Cloud desktop app. I do not know if it fixes this problem, but it might be worth a try since they changed and fixed a bunch of things.

Just be aware that, like macOS 15 Sequoia, Lightroom Classic 14 is more involved than a minor update so there may be a catalog conversion and other changes, so as usual, back up everything before upgrading, and you might not even want to upgrade yet if you’re in the middle of a big project that has to go out and you don’t have time to deal with more potential complications.

Thank you. I've confirmed it is an Apple issue, not specific to LR (eg Pages shows the same problem). As Johan rightly said.

I just tried LRC 14 with fingers crossed -- maybe they switched to a (working) PS type model where page size is in the same dialog is quality, etc. But no joy.

Which leaves me with 1. Switch back to Qimage for all printing (great tool, but direct from LR just more convenient). 2. Re-format drive, start over and, assuming that fixes it (!) hope I don't re-do whatever it was that angered MacOS to remove my printers from that dialog. 3. Wait for 15.1 and ask Apple Intelligence to fix itself....

Thanks for everyones responses.

Although Lightroom Classic seems to be the only app missing printers in Page Setup, if you can’t isolate it any other way, you can try the “nuclear option” of resetting the macOS printing system:

Reset the printing system on your Mac to solve a problem (Apple help article)

Just understand the consequences. You will have to re-add printers, and it might blow away personal print settings such as print presets or custom paper sizes you’ve made.

Thanks. I tried that. No joy. Added printers back and same issue.

I also reinstalled sequoia. Still no help. Noting, re-install, not wipe everything and do-over -- which I'm reluctant to do at the moment.

Only seems to affect LR -- can't find another application that separates the Print config into multiple dialogs (eg PS, and everything else I tried) uses a single dialog that lets you set paper size *and* paper type, quality, etc. And as noted, in LR, the issue is only with the "Page Setup" dialog, not the separate dialog for controling quality, etc. which knows about all the printers.

Unclear where to go next? I'm guessing some config option, but odd it wasn't reset with a printer reset or the OS re-install.

I appreciate any more suggestions? I don't want to abandon LR for printing quite yet, but this is the 2nd such issue this year (last was fixed by an Apple OS update around Q1, discussed elsewhere on these forums).

Thanks.

This is a MacOS issue, not a Lightroom Classic issue. These dialogs are MacOS dialogs, that are called by Lightroom Classic via an API. I haven't upgraded to MacOS Sequoia yet, and I am not going to soon, so I can't help you further. But  what I can say is that any 'usual suspects' that consist of Lightroom installs/reinstalls/preferences/whatever will not do anything to solve this.

Thank you, I appreciate the reply. Of course, kind of disappointing as it doesn't leave many places to turn -- I can just sense Apple blaming Adobe in the "well, every other app is printing fine..." (noting I'm not disputing what you said).

Hopefully someone else has a suggestion on what Mac thing I need to reinstall/toggle? Hopefully short of a full OS re-install.
