LR Classic 14.2 freezing erractically, with major memory leakage.

The new 14.2 auto update to Lightroom Classic from 14.1 keeps freezing erractically, mostly in Develop module, and I can't even close the application from within it.  There is a major  several GB  DRAM leakage as well, evidenced in concurrently running diagnostics.  I did not have this problem with any prior LR version, including 14.1 , and do not have this problem with any other application.  I have to close the application through Windows Task Manager, which results in data loss to the catalogue.

My system is Windows 11 Pro, latest build, regularly updated.  32 GB DRAM, 800GB + free on NVMe 1 TB boot drive, LR catalogues are on a 2TB Crucial NVMe drive, processor/GPU is a recent AMD Ryzen 5 8600.  Lightroom is typically running at only a few percent CPU/GPU usage with 17+ GB free DDR5 DRAM.

Hi @jkashi! I'm really sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with the new Lightroom update. As a first step, could you try resetting your preferences? Here's how to do that: Reset Preferences.

If that doesn't work, let's try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

If you're still having trouble, you might find our guide to optimizing Lightroom Classic performance helpful. Check it out here: Optimize Lightroom Performance.

Thanks so much! 😊
