Question

LR Classic 8.4.1 (Lib mode) zoom is not working on large files

Version 8.4.1 and the previous version have an issue with GPU support and zoom in on a panorama (large file).

Issue I noticed... used images are 18,000 x 4.700 pixels and 17,000 x 3,800 pixels

Smaller files are working fine.

Library mode:

When GPU on Auto/custom/Off - the ZOOM IN will result in a grey screen (instead of the enlarged area of the image)

But Dev mode is working fine with GPU Auto / OFF.

System info:

Win 10 - 64bit HOME

NVidia latest drivers (v436.48) on GTX980

32GB RAM

This bug was reported two years ago in LR 7 and isn't fixed yet:

Please add your constructive opinion to that bug report and click Me Too and Follow in the upper-right corner. That will make it a little more likely Adobe will prioritize a fix, and you'll be notified when the bug's status changes.

Be sure to include the first ten lines from the menu command Help > System Info.
