LR Classic 9 - Removing a folder collapses the Folders panel

I'm in the Folders panel of LR Classic v.9. I notice a subfolder that shows it contains zero images. I want to delete it.

So, I right-click on the subfolder in the Folders panel and choose "Remove" from the pop-up menu. The folder is removed, but the entire Folders panel then collapses.

Now, if I want to remove another folder, I have to navigate back to the folder I was in. Then, after removing a second folder, the panel collapses again.

Adobe, surely this is a bug and not a new "feature," right?

Well .... it's working okay now. I removed a couple of unused plugins and restarted Lightroom. That seems to have done the trick. I don't know whether it was one of the plugins or if the restart that fixed it. But, for now, all is good.
