LR Classic CC only syncs half of my LR CC photos

Setup sync from LR CC to one of the catalog. I have 22K+ photos in LR CC (which was uploaded automatically by my iPhone from iCloud). The sync job from LR CC to LR Classic CC finished this morning and I found I only have around 9K photos in LR Classic CC. Who knows how to fix this?

When you sync Classic with CC, all of the high res files in the cloud get downloaded to a local drive. Did you set up a custom location for this download? If you didn’t change the default setting, all of the images downloaded to your pictures folder. It’s possible that you don’t have enough storage space on the drive for a 22K photos and that’s why only 9K synced.

    Thanks for the answer.

First, I found the issue is that LR Classic does not report the correct number of remaining photos to sync. So it actually keep sync in more photos.

Your answer adviced me an even bigger problem: all these photos go to my SSD cache drive, which is meant to store just the catalog and smart previews. What's the best way to move this folder to a new drive?

I know this is an old thread but I've been though a huge learning exercise as a new user.
To move everything create a new catalog on the new storage device. Before you hit sync on Classic ensure you have changed the default sync images to somewhere close to the new catalog.

Fortunately when you press Sync LRC will advise that you can only sync with one catalog and you are pretty much done.
I was reading this thread because I also wondered where half of my files had gone in the sync. Sure enough when it finished it wasn't finished at all and my disk usage continued to go up.

Are you performing the Sync from a Collection or Collections within the catalog?

I'm actually very confused by what you mean. I just connected my adobe account and have the cloud sync with my master catalog. I use LR CC on my phone to sync all photos in iCloud to Adobe CC and then use sync to sync all photos to my LR Classic.
