LR Classic hangs when trying to copy settings when mask is present

LR Classic 15.1.1  Camera Raw 18.1  OS Windows 11 Pro 24H2

Working in develop module, I have a raw image .CR2 with a brush mask applied. LR hangs when trying to copy settings. Settings>Copy Settings.. The copy settings dialog does not open and LR hangs. I have to terminate LR in task manager.

If I remove the mask everything works as it should.

Thank you for sharing your LrC, Camera Raw, and OS version. I'd be happy to help you get back on track. You mentioned this was happening to .CR2 files with masks. Does this happen to any other type of file? Does the mask have an AI masking in it? 

Do you see any error messages? 

Please also share your full system information by selecting Help > System Info. Copy and paste everything into a text file and attach it to your response. If possible, please also share a sample file for our inspection.

Hi thank you for your response and troubleshooting ideas. 

I tried rebooting my system - no change.

no error messages, just hung up.

same problem with psd and jpg files.

any mask causes the problem, such as brush, gradient and AI person masks.

I tried copying the same file I'm having trouble with and its sidecar xmp to my other computer running same version of LRC and CANNOT replicate the problem. So I guess it is machine specific.

A good first step is updating your GPU drivers. You can follow the guide here: https://adobe.ly/3LU3rsY
It can also help to try a brand new catalog. This is an easy way to see if the issue is coming from your current catalog or something else.
You might also want to temporarily turn off Loupedeck, since third party plugins can sometimes cause unexpected issues.
