Question

LR Classic lens correction profile is not accurate

The lens correction profile on the Sony 16-35mm f2.8 GM make s the picture worse than it is. When applied it distorts the image arround the edges rather than fixing any distortion. And the vignetting correction is so strong it makes a white outline. I have to bring it down every time to 40% to be accurate, but the distortion is crazy off. The lens has so little distortion that it is barely noticeable. The profile makes it unusable and in my oppinion needs to be reworked. I have never seen a profile not work on all the cameras and lenses that I've used over the years.

The Camera Raw engineer in charge of Lens Profiles has made the following request of you.

"Can we get a sample ARW+JPEG with Lens Comp settings all set to Auto?"

Note that a built-in lens profile is applied. So you cannot/ should not click on the enable  profile correction box. Trying to force the corrections makes things worse.

You can't say that without knowing what lens profile is applied (click on the 'i'). Many such profiles correct for chromatic aberration only. If a full profile is embedded, then usually Adobe won't provide their own profile.
