LR Classic Locks Up when Uploading to SmugMug Gallery

I am running the latest version of LR Classic and the latest SmugMug Plug-in (v3.5.9.1).  I have a published gallery on SmugMug that is causing LR Classic to lock up anytime I try to upload an image to it.  I have gone so far as to completely delete the gallery from SmugMug and to re-create it, adding back all of the images that were originally in it.  When I do this, I am able to update the gallery with all the original images and everything works fine.  However, when I go to either add a new image to that gallery or re-publish an existing image, LR completely locks up.  I have attempted to enable Logging under the Debugging section of the Lightroom Plug-in Manager but I can't get it to work for some reason--I have checked <Enable Logging> but when I select the option <Open in Notepad>, nothing happens.  I'm at a loss as to why this one gallery is causing this.  I have no problems publishing to any other gallery.

I've got the same problem, but noticed that if I upload files to a small gallery with few pix already in it, the upload starts pretty quickly. However, if I upload to a gallery with hundreds of shots already in it, the computer starts hammering the cpu and can take 15-30 minutes to start uploading. I have no idea what the computer is doing, but I'm wondering if its comparing the files I'm uploading with the files already in the gallery to make sure there are no duplicates? In the Task Manager, it shows Adobe "not responding", but that just means it's busy, as you can see by how much the cpu is working. My next experiment will be to upload always to an empty gallery first, and then drag and drop pix from there to the target gallery later.
