Question

LR Classic slideshow is there a way to skip preparing previews for slides?

When I try to view a slide show for a large number of files, the tool has to go throught the preparing preview step for all files everytime. This takes a very long time, and often the slide show does not start at the end. Is there a way to skip this step? In past versions there was a way to skip the preparing preview step and the tool would immediately start the slide show.

Is there a way to skip this step?

Nope, none that I know.  Annoying for many files.!  And building 1:1 previews in the library does not help me.

Find other software for your slideshows- (will require exporting images).

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.3, Photoshop 27.5, ACR 18.3, Lightroom 9.3, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.3 .

I think the only way is to generate large enough previews for your slideshow in advance.
