Hi, LR v11.2 won't launch (latest version as of 4th March 2022) on my Windows10 PC.

It asppears in Task Manager, but wont load at all, no error given.

I have tried deleting the lock file but it reapears when i attempt to load LR again.

I hav cleared preferences.

I have restarted my PC.

I have uninstalled and re-installed.

Same result, no start, shows in task manager, no error shown, lock file re-appears.

Im really gutted so would really appreciate any help, thankyou.

The first thing that you should try is to switch off the GPU support from the Lightroom preferences and check if that helps to fix the issue.

Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.

https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/lightroom-gpu-faq.html#troubleshooting

https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/troubleshoot-gpu.html

If Lightroom doesn't start correctly the please see "Solution 2" in the document behind the second link.

Troubleshoot GPU issues | Lightroom Classic (adobe.com)

If this doesn't help I would suggest a complete and clean reinstallation.

Please follow the steps below:

if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)

My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 25H2 -- LR-Classic 15 - Photoshop 27 - Nik Collection 8 - PureRAW 6 - Topaz Photo AI

No, i had to find a previuos working catalog. It appears that a faulty cat al;og was the cause, but strange it provided no errors

You could try setting 'Lightroom.exe' to High Priority in Task Manager. Worth a try.

1) Reboot computer

2) Start Lightroom-Classic (working or not)

3) Open Task Manager   [Windows Key+X] > [T]

4) Expand the App  "Adobe Lightroom-Classic (2)"  (May look different in your system)

5) [Right-Click] on "Adobe Lightroom Classic"

6) Choose [Go to Details]

7) [Right-Click] on "Lightroom.exe"

😎 Choose "Set Priority"

9) Choose "High"

10) Exit Task Manager, reboot computer, try launching Lightroom-CLassic again.

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.3, Photoshop 27.5, ACR 18.3, Lightroom 9.3, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.3 .
