LR Classic won't open

Hello, 

Tearing what is left of my hair out. I use Mac Ventura and LRClassic subscription.  I have thousands of edited photos. Have a LRfolder with my catalogue. The LR Classic app will not open and I just get a spinning ball. I havve uninstalled and re installed LR Classic and it will not open. I would really appreciate some help!

Many thanks for the response. My catalogue was corrupted, I think. It had lost its usual icon. I got up the courage to use a backup which fortunately was quite recent and things now seem to be working well.
