LR froze and took me back to an old catalog

Hi,

I'm not sure how to explain what happened, but basically my LR froze when I tried to import new photos. I had to Force Quit, and when I opened it back up it appears to have taken me to an older Catalog...none of my recent photos I've worked on are in here, and a ton of my photos aren't showing up (they all have exclamation points on them.) I can't find the old catalog anywhere. Has this ever happened to anyone? I have no idea where the catalog is, I'm hoping it didn't permanently delete somehow.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, thank you

Have you tried going to File > Open recent? Your catalog should be listed there.

If not, or if it refuses to open, you should open the most recent backup catalog you have. You will need to unzip it first.
