My LR classic keeps crashing 8 to 10 seconds after launching the app on Windows. Everything is up to date (drivers, LR verson, etc) everything was working till yestarday. Since then, it keeps crashing, I'm not able to change a single setting for the time of 8-10 seconds before it freeze and ask me to send a report. I've send like 20 and nothing change.

Any ideas?

We’ve reviewed the email address you use with this forum and find no crash reports in our system.

Did you see a crash dialog?

Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?

Was the crash dialog Adobe’s? Microsoft’s?

UPDATE!

Agent from Adobe, tried to repair my LR catalog, but unfortunatly the catalog was corrupted. After couple of hours trying, there was no solution. The file was "stuck" to my SSD and didn't want to "move" anywhere, we've tried to move it to disck C:, different fowders, wetransfer, creative could etc. nothing was working. Then I used "chkdsk" to check for bad sectors and repair it if any. After 40 minutes the process was done and it did found few files (CR3) that need it a repair. After that I was able to move the catalog and to send it for reapair from Adobe agent`s end. After that everything is ok and running smootlie.

I hope, this make any sens and to help if anybody have the same issue in the future.

In a first step try to reset the Lightroom preferences.

It's recommended to backup your preferences before you reset the preferences to the default settings:

My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 25H2 -- LR-Classic 15 - Photoshop 27 - Nik Collection 8 - PureRAW 5 - Topaz Photo
