LR not seeing all .dng on an external drive

I am using LR 12.5 release on Windows 10. To do some post processing testing, I made a copy of a dng on an external hard drive called 1234Copy.dng. When I try to import, LR shows all the dng files on the drive except this file. Can anyone tell me why LR does not see this file?

Thank you in advance,

Why does your catalog, in the Folders Panel, show your backup drive?

When and why did you import from the backup drive?

Are your originals not in the T drive?

This I notice in your screen-clips:

1) Your Import dialog is showing files from Drive U:

2) The Folder you are showing in File Explorer is on the T: drive

Are these two Drives identical? Do the 'missing' files appear on both drives?

And why are you importing from a Drive that might be considered a "Backup" drive?

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.3, Photoshop 27.5, ACR 18.3, Lightroom 9.3, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.3 .

Can you show us screen captures of what you see in LrC (please show us the ENTIRE Import dialog), and also what you see in Windows Explorer? Please use the Insert Photos icon; do not attach files.

Thank you for the reply dj. The screenshots show the exact images on my external hard drive and Import.

Please see the two screenshots below

I am trying to import _MG_3181-2.dng, _MG_3181-3.dng, and _MG_3181Copy.dng. No mater what I do, I cannot see these files when selecting Import and navigate to the correct location of the files. This is the first time I have seen this. I have been using LRC for 17 years and have more than 200,000 images imported.

FYI -  the files 3181-2 and 3181-3 were created by a third party program and the 3181Copy.dng I created with by copy and paste at the disk level outside of LR. I am doing some post processing tests using this file as a standard.

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Jim
