LR Slideshow not working

I have a collection. When I export to pdf it shows all my photos.

However, when I try to export slideshow or play the slideshow I get a black screen. I also can't seem to select a mp3 for the music.

    This is very old.

    First, update to the latest 2015.13 or if you have a subscription you may want to update to LR Classic CC.

    Since the most recent update to Lightroom Classic 12.1, my Slideshow module only shows a dark screen when I attempt to Preview or Play a slideshow, even with only a couple of photos selected.

    I'm on a Dell Inspiron laptop with i7 CPU, 12 Gigs RAM, and 1 Terabyte Hard Drive.

     

    Nothing appears to happen after that until I click the mouse anywhere on the screen, after which the currently selected image shows back up.

    Okay, after looking more through previous posts, I went into Preferences...Performance and turned off the GPU. Now it displays correctly.

    What is the exact version (numbers, not 'latest') you are using?

    What is your OS?
