LR tether live mode and tether remote shutter unusable

I'm having issues with the tethered live mode and the tethered remote shutter on my new M3. I used to use an iMac 2017, and everything worked perfectly, with a very smooth live mode. I'm using a Nikon Z6II camera, and the same problem happens with the Z6I. I've tried using two different USB-C cables, but the issue persists. My Lightroom is updated, and the camera's firmware is up to date. I'm running on macOS 14.5 "Sonoma" with 36GB of memory and an Apple M3 Max chip.
