LR to Cloud to LRC - Sync Problem

I have been trying a workflow using my iPad and Lightroom whole away travelling. 

 

I load all images to Lightroom while I am away as a means to back up the cards and to check and do some edits while I go.

 

When I get back home, I open Lightroom Classic and then let the cloud sync back. Then I copy all the images from the trip to a folder on the local drive within LRC. I then remove them from the cloud as I like to keep only my selects there.

 

But, I get a lot of issues with syncing - the cloud icon top right is blue and shows that a number of the files are constantly downloading. 

 

Is what I am doing causing issues?

Hey, @mxburg. Welcome to the Lightroom Classic Community. I'll help you figure this out. 

 

Do you simply delete images after they're fully downloaded to Lightroom Classic & stored locally? 

If yes, check also the Lightroom Web (https://adobe.ly/3uv2zCA) on a desktop with your Lightroom Account and check the Deleted section. If there are any files that you've previously downloaded at Lightroom Classic & you have proper backups for - you can delete them permanently from Lightroom Web. 

 

After this change, let Lightroom sync and check if it returns to normal.
