LR to Instagram plugin error

Hi,

When I tried to republish a modified image - as I always do I got the following message:

Error  login_required

Plugin error messages usually indicate a need to update; but my plugin is up-to-date. Any ideas?

Thanks a lot,

Raphael

I realize now that, just prior to the alert, I changed my Instagram password because it had become compromised according to my password manager.

I imagine that, in order to publish, the plugin has to log into Instagram and that's where the problem lies. But I have not found a way to deal with that and update my Instagram password on the plugin's settings.

You’ve posted to an ancient thread. It is highly unlikely that the issue described in this thread, though not impossible, is the same one you are currently experiencing. Rather than resurrect an old thread that is seemingly similar, you are better off posting to a new thread with fresh, complete information, including system information, a complete description of the problem, and step-by-step instructions for reproduction.

If the issue is the same, we will merge you back into the appropriate location.

    Thank you!

Check you plugin authentication to instagram, probably in the plug-ins setup

Thank you; I'm not sure where that would be.

I'm attaching a screen shot of the Plug-in Manager.

In the Library module scroll down to the Publishing services, on the header fir the Instagram one, double click, or right click and choose setup.

Not an Instagram user, but at least two other services work that way.

Also be aware that sometimes these services change authentication requirements. What comes to mind is FLIKR (spelling) that got picked up by SmugMug, and they recently altered that, Of course that is not the case for Instagram, but who knows.

You haven't mentioned which Instagram plugin you're using, which makes it a tad difficult to provide much help. If it's the one available from LR/Instagram - Lightroom Publish Plugin for Instagram  then best you check their support page or contact the vendor.

You have submitted two posts about Lightroom. Looking at both of the issues you report I suggest you reinstall Lightroom as it's possible that you have an incomplete or corrupt installation.
