LR6 cc export catalogue for use in LR6 3

Hello everyone, I have spent an entire afternoon watching Adobe support monkey around with my Mac and I'm certain he had no idea what he was doing.

My problem is:

I purchased a copy go Lr6 for my new Imac

The download wasn't available for 24 hours !!!! so I downloaded the LR6 trial and got to work

Then I exported the catalogue created in the trial version.

Adobe support advised that I delete the trial and download the purchased version, enter the registration code and it works fine

However, the Catalogue created in LR6 trial will not open in the purchased version, saying the trial version is too new !!

I have updated to the latest version of Lr6 so thats 6.13

The adobe support has now said it cannot be done !!

A weeks work up in flames

    It sounds as if you downloaded the Lightroom Classic CC trial, which is newer than Lightroom 6 and newer than Lightroom CC 2015. If that is what you downloaded then the catalogs are not compatible.
