LRC 12.3 Masking Brush Does Not Show Up At All

Hello! I am trying to use the masking brush in LRC 12.3 but it doesn't show up. More specificaly, I can create a new mask and select "Brush" but the "rings" only show up when I hover the cursor over "Size". I have "Show overlay" enabled and all that yet the option "Auto hide masking panel" is grey and I cannot turn it off. Any help here? I am getting pretty annoyed and desperate...

If you are referring the the Brush icon that shows as a pin drop that should show up after you create the mask... It's not clear if you expect to see the brush icon while you are using the brush tool. The tool shows up as rings with a + or - sign the ring that also shows the feather attribute if any are applied. Click and drag the circle and you will see the brush icon.

Thanks for your reply! I think it's a bug: the circle with + and - disappeared as soon as I moved the cursor again and the cursos made weird jumps. I managed to solve it, though, accidentaly! Upon installinh the LRC again and resetting the preferences the mask tool was not with the other tool boxes but as a seperate tool bar. And it worked just fine! Yet if it was moved wherein all the others were, it malfunctioned again. A bug then?
