LRc can not find a lot of directories.
I am using LRc ver v13.0.1 on a win 11 desktop computer. I have encountered a problem when rearranging some photo locations using LRc. On my computer drive I have a diectory called 'Modelling'. Under this directory I have a total of 53 sub directories, which are named after the model name. The models by the way are plastic scale models.
All the directories were created using LRc and photos were placed in their respective directories with LRc. Under the 'Modelling' directory I ha a sub directory called 'Masters. and this is where I placed all the original photos for importing into LRc. As the 'Masters' directory was getting to big to find photos I decided to create a 'Masters' directory for each individual model directory.
I created these sub directories using LRc and close LRc. I confirmed that these were created using Window file explorer and the restarted LRC. I procedded to locate individual phots from the main 'Masters' directory and moved them into the relative models Master sub directory using LRc.
I noticed that when the photos were moved to the Masters subdirectories LRc also placed the in the parent directory as well which was not a big problem as I could easily delete them later. I had a total of 793 photos to be moved.
I noticed that there were over two hundred photos left in the main 'Masters' directory and found the LRc could only see 32 model directories. Under win file explorer I checked and found there were 53 directories present. I also looked in LRc collection and the were a total of 53 collections, all with photos in them.
I closed LRc down and restarted it but LRc could not find the other 21 directories or 40% of the total number of directories .
I started up Lightroom CC and it had no trouble finding all 53 directories.
Does anyone have any ideas why LRc is doing this? and how can I get it to see all of the directories. All directories are under the same parent directory called 'Modelling'.
Thanks in advance.
