Hello everyone,

I have a problem with my LRC. I can't open it since several days. Firstly, LRC only showed in my background processes, can't be open. i thought it might need to be updated. I updated. Right now, my LRC version is 12.5

But after update, i still can't open LRC, and it doesn't been showed in background processes. I updated my windows, my c++ and updated all need to be updated. It still doesn't work. I want to uninstall LRC and re-install it. But i found i can't uninstall it anymore, it said always LRC is open, i need to close it first, but i can't find it in my task manager.

LR and photoshop and other Adobe app works correctly, just LRC , i can't open.

Does anyone have the solution please?  Thanks so much.

Here is my Windows version:

Windows 11 22h2

Try resetting the LrC preferences.

Since you can't open it, use method 1 or 2 described on this page.

Method 1 might not work, but it's worth a try.

https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/setting-preferences-lightroom.html

If resetting the preferences doesn't help, use the CC cleaner tool to remove LrC.

Read the whole article carefully before using the cleaner tool.

Restart your computer after removing LrC, then reinstall it.

Try to reset the preferences to the default settings.

  • Reset Procedure:
  • Close Lightroom.
  • Windows: Hold down [Alt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.
Mac: Hold down [Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.
  • Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.
  • Close Lightroom.
  • Restart Lightroom.

It's recommended to backup your preferences before you reset the preferences to the default settings:

What happens when you try to open LrC?

Is there an error message?
