Question

LRC changes the metadata (date created and last modified) to the date and time of export

Hi, since the last update of LRC it changes the “date created” and the date “last modified” to the time of ‘now’ when I export my RAW’s to JPG’s. Before the update I had no problems, I have searched through a lot of settings and preferences, but I can not figure out what has changed. I’ve read some old posts regarding this topic, but I still don’t know what to do. Can someone please help?

Mac or PC? And how do you check this? MacOS only shows the file creation date and modification date. As the jpg is created today, that’s what MacOS will show. If you set the folder to Gallery view however, then you will see that the “content creation date” is preserved and correct. This is not new. It has always been like that.

Thank you for your reply! I guess I’ve never noticed this.

The thing is, I am a school photographer and we use an app that uses the date created to connect the photo to a name. There were some problems with that and it was right after I updated. Maybe I came to the wrong conclusion, thinking it was because of the update.

I will start looking in another direction, thanks!!

Mac btw and this is what I see, same as you:
