Question

LrC collections and ratings are broken.

Ever since LrC update in September of 2024 I have had nothing but issues, specifically with collections. I use collections to organize mt photo shoots so this is a giant pain. I import my photos using copy, I can create collection sets just fine, but when I go to create a collection I hit the "+" button and click create collection and nothing happens. No new dialogue opens, no error message, nothing. The same thing happens when I try and rate a photo, nothing happens. Then finally if I try and export my photos I get the error sound and it tells me the photos do not exist.

You can see in the video below I can't rate the photos or create a collection, yet when I hit show in finder it finds the images fine. Then the cherry on top when I go to export it does nothing.

I will plus one the corrupt preferences file. Note that with a photo selected, your Histogram is blank.

Have you tried resetting the preferences? If not, then follow the instructions for Method 1  in below linked Adobe Help document.

That was my first thought. Tried resetting preferences to no avail. Even created a brand new catalog just to check.
