LrC crashes when I navigate to video

Question

When in library mode and in single photo view, as soon as I navigate to a video LrC crashes. I sent in at least one crash report.

I've seen this noted about earlier versions and claims to have been fixed / not reproducible but I still have this problem making LrC virtually unusable for me. I have not used LrC for about 18 months (though continued with my subscription) so I don't know when the problem appeared. I first encountered this on 14.5.1. I then downgraded to 14.1.1 and encoutered the same.

I've tried purging the video cache and also disabling the Preview GPU feature.

Can I still downgrade to a 13.x version given that my catalog and I guess database have gone through the upgrade process to 14.5.1?

I thought there would be some response on this post but so far nada.

I did a support session with Adobe Customer Support without getting a satisfactory response. We did some tests and it seems that the problem is not all videos but only some that cause LrC to crash. Support thinks the videos are a problem but it seems more likely that the issue is with the catalog which they also acknowledged. The recommendation was to reimport the videos or reimport everything into a clean catalog. No thanks. The problem is that I don't know which videos are a problem and which are not. I am going to experiment with reimporting individual videos and see if that clears up the issue. I still have a back up from version 13 era that actually is the last time I used this catalog. I may also try going back to that and version 13 and freezing it, then start a new catalog with the next batch of images i want to process. (Sorry for the rambling)
