LRC crashing macbook pro when using the upload function

Every time I try to upload images from LRC to my Zenfolio account using the inbuilt upload function, it causes the computer to grind to a halt and most often it crashes the computer. I have plenty of memory and an M1 chip. But on my system analyitics it says it's using 35GB for the function. Can this be sorted?

We’ve reviewed the email address you use with this forum and find no crash reports in our system.

Did you see a crash dialog?

Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?

Was the crash dialog Adobe’s? Apple’s?

I've not sent any crash reports as I don't get that far and have to restart the laptop.
