LRC edit in PS

Question

In LRC "edit in PS" yields following warning: "Do you want to open in Adobe Photoshop 2021, which is already running? If not, please close it and retry."

The problem is no version of PS is running, PS 2021 is not even on my computer.

In the settings panel "external editing" Adobe PS 2023 and Photoshop Beta is showing. Both are installed on the coomputer.

I tried removing the apps and reinstall them several times with no result

When reinstalling Lightroom Classic, did you keep or remove Lightroom's preferences?

Try these steps:
