Question

Does this affect on all images? I sometimes have this problem with images where the sky isn't clearly identifiable.

What has been changed on your system before the issue occur?

You can also try  to reset the LrC preferences:  How to reset Lightroom Classic preferences (adobe.com)

It's recommended to backup your preferences before you reset the preferences to the default

My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 25H2 -- LR-Classic 15 - Photoshop 27 - Nik Collection 9 - PureRAW 6 - Topaz Photo AI

Hi @markus r._bechtiger0825,

Thank you for reaching out. Here are a few troubleshooting steps that may help resolve the problem:

1. Please ensure you have an active internet connection when using these features. Try changing your Wi-Fi or using a mobile hotspot to test.

2. Reset the AI model cache. Sometimes, the locally cached AI models can become corrupted. Try the following:

  • Quit Lightroom Classic completely.

  • Navigate to the AI model cache folder:

  • Windows: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\

  • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/

  • Delete the folder "modelzoo" (or rename it as a backup)

  • Restart Lightroom Classic, and the models will be re-downloaded on the next use.

4. Test with an image that has a clearly defined, unobstructed sky to confirm whether the issue affects all images or only specific ones.

5. Check GPU settings. Go to Preferences > Performance, then toggle the GPU setting.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, please provide:

  1. Your System Info (Help > System Info). Copy & paste the content here.

  2. A sample image where sky detection fails

  3. Whether this started after a specific update

This information will help us investigate further. We appreciate your patience.

Best,

Anshul Saini
