LRc Fails Hard when importing photos from iPhone

I have LRc v14.5.1 running & iPhone 15 Pro w/iOS 26 (previously iOS 18) with a high-speed data USB C cable (I've used different ones actually).

It is running on a Win11 PC w/i9 14gen CPU & 4070 GPU w/32gig data on Samsung 9100 SSD.

I have a large number of photos (7000) that I wanted to import into LRc.

I ran it many times in iOS 18 but LRc failed and sometimes just died.

I tried it again (several times) in iOS 26 and it each time LRc just failed and died. Now each time it importanted a few some number of pictures. (anywhere from 500 to 1500) before it died. It gave No error report, nothing, just closed itself down.

 

Is there anyway to do a simple import directly from a iPhone of a large number of files?

Hi @Beany from Brooklyn!
Could it be that your phone is going to sleep while you're trying to import? If so, that might be causing the issue. You might also want to try importing directly from Apple Photos instead, that could work better.
