LRC freezing with GPU acceleration on

When I have GPU acceleration turned on in any form LRC will freeze when zoomed in and trying to move around.

I am using a 4070 ti and has only been an issue over the last few months. I have tried everything I can think of. I have tried both game ready drivers and studio drivers. I have tried older drivers for both. I have reinstalled LRC. I have tried older versions of LRC. I have contacted the support team and there was no resolution there either. I have tried checking my catalog and a new catalog. I can't get any crash logs because it doesn't crash it just freezes and I have to force close it. In task manager it never shows as not responding.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the exact same issue. I have not tried (yet) everything you have tried. But right now I have disabled my GPU to test that. So replying to follow thread and share that your not alone. I would say this started with version 15 or LrC. And I really do WANT my GPU enabled, as I bought the 5070 16GB version for use with Lightroom and Photoshop. I want the intended use of using both CPU and GPU to accelerate my work. All drivers are updated.

Your system info shows that you have two GPU in use. I expect that one is on the mother board and part of the CPU. Go into the machine Bios and Windows setting to disable that one. Then be sure the 5070 is enable in Windows and Lightroom Classic.

I think @jtp77 only has one GPU. Adapter #1, Vendor 10d3 Device 2c05, is the Geforce RTX 5070 TI. Adapter #2, Vendor 1414 Device 8c, is the Basic Render Driver that's present on every Windows machine (I think it's provided by the BIOS and allows Windows to access the display when there's no hardware GPU).

I don't see any other well-known issues called out by your System Info. Before re-enabling the graphics processor, be sure to reinstall the latest Studio driver (581.57) (you've got the latest Game Ready driver, 581.80). Both Nvidia and Adobe recommend Studio drivers for LR, which get more testing with creative apps than Game Ready drivers.

You could try temporarily disabling all anti-malware/anti-virus packages. They sometimes cause jerky and unpredictable behavior.
